Lord we come before you at the start of the ministry of Father Simon in St Peters.
We pray that you will give him wisdom, energy and patience as he seeks to plan. Help him to grow with us, so that we become a listening, loving community reflecting God’s care and compassion into the world.
We pray that both as individuals and as a church, we recommit to mission in this place.
We seek out God’s direction especially in the ways in which we live our daily lives, use our homes , the crypt and church spaces.
Teach us to care for each other and encourage each other to find a place to serve those communities where we live.
Lord in your mercy
Hear our prayer.
We bring before you our country with its stark contrasts.
We pray for the poor and hungry who are trying to rebuild after the challenges of the last 2 years.
We pray for refugees who have arrived in the UK. We pray especially for the child migrants as they are found places of safety. We ask that they be met with a response of kindness and nurturing and protection.
We pray for anyone who has no secure home as they seek shelter.
Enable those who seek to help any of these vulnerable people that they may encounter co-operation and options which bring hope.
Lord in your Mercy
Hear our prayer.
We pray for young people in our church and community. We thank you for the contribution they make to our worship by reading scripture and serving. Help us, Lord, to build up a team of leaders for Noisy Church.
We pray for opportunities for the congregation at St Peters to connect to families especially those who have had a family member baptised in the last year.
Lord in your mercy
Hear our prayer.
We pray for the sick remembering Brenda and Kate and any others known to us. We pray for people who are lonely or isolated.
We ask that we as a church may meet and support those people about whom, we know this to be true.
Lord in your mercy
Hear Our prayer.
We pray for those who have died recently.
We pray for those in our book of remembrance at this time.
Merciful Father,
Accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen.
