Songs of Support Fundraising Concert

St Peter’s with the De Beauvoir Association and many other local community groups are holding a concert, Songs of Support on Saturday 4th March at 6pm in aid of the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.

Saturday’s line up will feature 100% local talent co-hosted by two teenagers, one Syrian the other Turkish. They will be introducing three choirs, HERD, Music Centre London Youth Choir and Tek Yurek, which consists of Turkish children and their parents who live in De Beauvoir. Other stars include local legend Honey B Mama, guitarist Raman Singh, 13 year old Hackney singer Alyssia, Amberleigh African dancers and drummers, concert pianist Thomas Ang, De Beauvoir flautists, opera singers Robin Bailey and Jennifer Begley plus the lovely Hugh Harris of The Kooks. Wine by donation and soft drinks will be available alongside some delicious home cooked Turkish goodies courtesy of Tek Yurek and friends.

How better to spend Saturday evening? And yes, we do mean spend as this is a fundraiser and the team will be ready with their buckets and card machines!
